Reminder of the obligation to record delivery reservations
In accordance with Article L133.3 of the French Commercial Code, reservations made by the recipient specifying the existence of damage upon delivery allow for compensation claims to be made.
Inspection upon receipt in the presence of the driver is mandatory and must be accompanied by reasoned reservations (number of packages, reference, etc.), thus excluding overly vague statements such as “subject to quality and quantity control,” which are considered inadmissible. Furthermore, in the event of damage or theft of the goods, it is essential to take a photo of the damaged, opened or re-taped package with the package number visible and another photo of the inside of the package.
We would also like to remind you that the claim made on the transport document must be confirmed by registered letter to the carrier within 3 days of receipt of the transported items.
Consequently, without these reservations being applied, we will not be able to take your claim into consideration.
Sincerely,
