The Nintendo Switch Lite is compatible with all Nintendo Switch software that can be played in handheld mode. It's the perfect console for anyone who frequently plays outside the home, and for anyone who wants to play online or in local wireless multiplayer with family or friends who already own a Nintendo Switch console.

As the Nintendo Switch Lite is designed for portable gaming, it cannot be connected to a TV.

Easily carry all your favorite games with you
If a game is compatible with Joy-Con features such as HD vibration, infrared camera, and motion controls, some features will not be available when using the Nintendo Switch Lite alone. However, Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) can be connected wirelessly to the Nintendo Switch Lite to take advantage of these features.

For games that are not compatible with handheld mode, players can connect Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) to the Nintendo Switch Lite console via wireless communication. They will then need an accessory such as a Joy-Con charging grip to charge their Joy-Con controllers.
