How to replace a joystick module on your DualSense Edge™ wireless controller
If the joystick module on your DualSense Edge™ wireless controller isn't working properly or has stopped working altogether, you can replace it with a new one. The left and right joystick modules are interchangeable and can be attached to either side.
Step 1
Make sure the player indicator on the controller is off. If the player indicator is on, hold down the PS button until it turns off.
Step 2
Unplug the USB cable from the controller. Remove the front cover.
Step 3
Slide the RELEASE latch on the back of your controller to remove the cover.
Step 4
Lift the release lever.
Step 5
Remove the joystick module and attach a new one. Make sure the joystick is properly positioned, then slide it along the grooves on the controller until you hear a click.
Step 6
Pull down the release lever.
Step 7
Attach the front cover. Align the raised sections of the cover with the notches on the joystick, then gently push the cover until you hear a click.
