Ivalice, a kingdom ruled by a two-headed lion, blessed by the auspices of the sun and the sacred seal... A year after the defeat in the Fifty Years' War against Oldaria, the king succumbed to illness. With the young Prince Orinus set to ascend the throne at the tender age of two, real power would in fact fall to whoever was appointed as his guardian.
Duke Larg and Duke Goltanna, former generals who had distinguished themselves through their military exploits during the conflict, were vying for this honor. Tensions were at their peak between Goltanna, whose emblem was a black lion, and Larg, who bore the coat of arms of a white lion. These events marked the beginning of what would come to be known as the War of the Lions.

At the same time, two young men were about to see their destinies turned upside down. Ramza, the third son of the illustrious Beoulve family of knights, had grown up alongside his best friend Delita, a young man from the common people. They did not yet know that they were about to be swept up in the powerful tide of historical events...

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles features tactical battles that will keep even the most strategic players on the edge of their seats. Turn-based battles take place in isometric 3D areas with varied terrain; mastering the positioning of each unit and the order of actions is crucial to victory.

? Fighters you can develop in countless ways

Thanks to the various classes and skills available to fighters, the possibilities are endless, allowing players to constantly discover new dimensions in game strategy.

Each unit has access to different classes and can acquire the skills of each one. By combining the skills acquired from different classes, players can create unique combinations and develop their own playstyle by leveraging the strengths of multiple classes.

The game features over 20 classes and hundreds of skills. White mages, black mages, dragon knights, and other iconic characters from the Final Fantasy series are certainly part of the game, and monsters such as chocobos can also be recruited as allies to join the battle.

? Two versions to suit every taste: classic and premium

Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles lets you choose between two distinct game modes: the optimized, modernized version, and the classic version, which remains faithful to the original.

The Premium Edition features enhanced graphics, improved gameplay, a revamped interface, and many other enhancements, as well as full voice acting in Japanese and English. Furthermore, the game has been fully translated into French and German for the first time, providing maximum immersion in the rich world of Ivalice. To make the game more accessible to new players, the difficulty can now be adjusted using three game modes. Gameplay and ease of use have also been improved.

The Classic Edition, on the other hand, offers a version that is virtually identical to the original 1997 release, allowing nostalgic players to relive the experience of the original game. It also includes a Japanese-to-French translation.
