By 2060, Earth has become uninhabitable. The discovery of a ninth planet, Persephone, at the edge of the solar system, is humanity’s only chance of survival. The European Space Agency has decided to deploy the Hope-01 scientific mission there with two of its experienced astronauts, Ariane and Thomas. Their mission: to study the planet to determine whether humanity can settle there and thrive.

Their adventure gets off to a chaotic start when, following the crash landing of their ship, they are separated. From that point on, their goal is to find each other again.

Aphelion is a cinematic third-person action-adventure game set on the planet Persephone, a frozen world that remains unexplored. Stranded and in distress, Ariane and Thomas must survive the unknown, reunite, and complete their mission. Traverse breathtaking alien landscapes, avoid lurking threats, and uncover the dark secrets hidden beneath the ice.

Explore the almost unreal beauty of Persephone, a vast frozen world with a deadly climate and ever-changing terrain.

Armed only with your exploration tools (pathfinder, oxygen tanks, grappling hook, and more), you must face the unknown, traverse dangerous areas, and gather clues about the strange phenomenon that is altering reality and threatening your very existence.

To save Thomas, Ariane must cross dangerous frozen expanses using her navigation tool, the Pathfinder. As the ice melts and gives way all around her, Ariane risks her life with every leap and every climb. Thomas, meanwhile, injured in the crash, must rely on his powers of observation and ingenuity to survive.
During their journey, our heroes will strive to better understand the planet and the reasons behind the crash.

Ariane Montclair and Thomas Cross are bound by a strong bond, a relationship put on hold due to the demands of their careers and their mission. As they are confronted with life-altering events, their fragile bond becomes their guiding thread on a journey through the unknown.
